Description
Practice the civics test USCIS is giving right now: the official 2025 version, which applies to every naturalization application filed on or after October 20, 2025.
The real test is oral. A USCIS officer asks up to 20 of the 128 civics questions and you pass as soon as you answer 12 of them correctly. This app drills the same questions with the same pass mark, in multiple choice, so the only new thing on the day is saying the answer out loud.
HOW IT WORKS Practice with multiple choice: one question at a time, four options, instant feedback. After every answer you see the full list of wordings USCIS accepts, so you learn what the officer can take, not just one phrasing.
WHAT YOU GET • All 128 official 2025 questions, from the USCIS M-1778 (09/25) document • Practice test: 20 questions, multiple choice, pass at 12, the same length and pass mark as the real test • Drill by section, or practise only the questions you keep missing • 65/20 set: the 20 questions USCIS designates for applicants who qualify for special consideration, one tap away as their own drill • Work through them your way: by section, by the ones you keep missing, or through your bookmarks • Pick up where you left off: the home screen shows how far through the 128 you are and opens the next unanswered question • State specific answers: choose your state once and the senator, governor and capital questions fill themselves in, for all 50 states and DC • The app runs in English or Spanish. The questions stay in English, the way the officer asks them. • No account • No in-app purchases, no subscription
WHICH TEST IS THIS This is the civics test in use today. USCIS calls it the 2025 version, and it applies to naturalization applications filed on or after October 20, 2025. It replaces the 2008 test of 100 questions for those new filings. Question text and acceptable answers come from the official M-1778 (09/25) document published by USCIS.
The U.S. Representative question depends on your district rather than your state, so the app shows it as a reference card that links straight to the official House.gov "Find Your Representative" lookup.
QUESTIONS THAT CHANGE A few answers change with elections and appointments: Speaker of the House, President, Vice President, Chief Justice. The app links directly to the official USCIS "Test Updates" page, so you always study the current name.
NOT AFFILIATED This app is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or the U.S. government.
