Description by John Layne(from the App Store)
It is the United States Powerlifting Coalition’s (USPC) mission to provide athletes the opportunity to compete in the sport of powerlifting in a stimulating and positive atmosphere of camaraderie and competition.
Our goal is to uphold the standards of the sport of powerlifting by enforcing the basic tenets of the performance of the squat, bench press, and deadlift. The USPC’s intention is to provide powerlifting meets that promote athleticism and physical performance, while ensuring that the rules enacted promote lifter safety.
We believe that the leaders of our federation must be fair, organized, and promote a culture that fosters a positive environment that supports all backgrounds, genders, ethnicity, and sexuality. The USPC leadership will work alongside state chairs and meet directors to teach and uphold meet standards that foster a positive experience for everyone that comes into contact with our organization.
