UV Index Widget & SPF Forecast

How many minutes do you have before you burn - right now, and at 3 pm? This app answers that for your skin type and your exact location, so you can tan safely instead of getting burned. Real-time UV index, a 7-day forecast, daily alerts, an SPF timer, a home-screen widget, and a vitamin D window - in one app.

BURN TIME FOR ANY HOUR
Set your skin type once, from very fair to deeply pigmented, and the app shows how long unprotected skin can stay in the sun before sunburn starts. Tap any hour on the chart to see the burn time for that moment - the morning walk, the lunchtime run, the late-afternoon beach. When the sun is low, you simply see that a burn is unlikely.

TAN SAFELY - WITHOUT BURNING
Love the sun? Get the tan, skip the burn. Your safe tanning window is calculated for your skin type and the current UV level, so you know when to lie down and when to move to the shade. Pair it with the SPF timer and a great tan never turns into a painful sunburn or peeling.

DAILY UV ALERTS
Turn on alerts and get the two notifications that matter: a morning summary at the time you choose, and a warning shortly before the UV level crosses the protection threshold for your skin. On calm days the app stays silent. Alerts are free and never more than two a day.

REAL-TIME UV LEVELS
Know your local UV level the moment you step outside. Clear, color-coded readings tell you instantly whether to apply sunscreen, cover up, or seek shade.

7-DAY UV INDEX FORECAST
Plan the week with a 7-day forecast and an hourly breakdown. See when sun exposure peaks each day and schedule walks, workouts, and outdoor plans for the safest hours.

UV LEVELS EXPLAINED
Your UV index falls into five color-coded levels, from safe to extreme:
- Low (0-2)
- Moderate (3-5)
- High (6-7)
- Very High (8-10)
- Extreme (11+)

SUNSCREEN & SPF TIMER
Get sunscreen recommendations built around your skin type and set an SPF reapplication timer. A reminder arrives at the right moment, including after swimming or heavy sweating, so you never wonder whether it is time to reapply.

VITAMIN D WINDOW
Sunlight is also how your body makes vitamin D. The app shows when the UV level is high enough for synthesis and how many minutes of sun you need to reach 400, 1000, or 2000 IU, taking into account how much skin is exposed - all while keeping you below your burn time.

HOME SCREEN WIDGET
See live UV levels without opening the app. Choose from several sizes and layouts; it keeps updating through the day.

APPLE WATCH
Your UV index and burn time right on your wrist. Swipe to the hourly chart, the SPF timer, and sunburn and vitamin D minutes for your skin. Complications keep UV on your watch face.

PROTECT YOUR SKIN AND YOUR FAMILY
Worried about sun damage, premature aging, or your kids getting burned at the playground? Check the UV level and burn time before you head out, set the timer for everyone, and let the alerts do the remembering.

AIR QUALITY & WEATHER
Check the current air quality index (AQI) and a 7-day forecast by pollutant - PM2.5, PM10, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide, and carbon monoxide. Temperature, feels-like, humidity, and wind sit alongside, so you can plan the whole day in one place. If you live with allergies or asthma, plan outdoor time around cleaner air.
