VC Transcript

VC Transcript turns speech into text directly on your iPhone — for lectures, seminars and your own ideas.

• Two local engines: Apple SpeechAnalyzer and WhisperKit with the multilingual Base model.
• Organize and search sessions, pause transcription and mark important moments.
• Review and edit text while keeping the original version.
• Export TXT, Markdown or PDF files and share by email.
• Interface available in English, German and French.
• No app account, advertising or cloud sync.

Speech recognition runs on your device. You may need to download a model first. Whisper Base requires approximately 150 MB to download, plus additional storage for operation. iOS manages Apple models. Availability, speed and accuracy depend on your device, language and engine. Whisper results appear in chunks.

The app stores session text, not audio files. Active transcription continues when you switch apps or lock the screen. Pause or End stops microphone access. System interruptions may interrupt a session. Export important text for safekeeping; sessions are excluded from device backups.

15 MINUTES FREE
Try a one-time total of 15 minutes of transcription per device. An annual subscription is then required for further transcription. The local annual price is shown before purchase. No subscription starts automatically when your free allowance ends. A purchased subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple subscriptions. Saved text remains readable, editable and exportable without a subscription.

Automatic transcription can contain errors, omissions and invented passages. Reliable recognition of Swiss German is not guaranteed. Check important statements and obtain the necessary consent and rights before transcribing or sharing.

Requires an iPhone with iOS 26 or later and support for the selected local engine.
