VC Wallet

VC Wallet is part of the Indentiproof suite of products. VC Wallet is a W3C Verifiable Credentials conformant wallet that allows you to register with Identiproof Issuers for your verifiable credentials, using the highly secure FIDO2 protocol. FIDO2 replaces usernames and passwords with cryptographic keys. These keys are stored in your phone's hardware, so they cannot be copied or stolen from your phone (unlike other wallets that use software based cryptographic keys). VC Wallet places you in full control of your credentials and personal information, as you have to consent to the release of each item of personal information before the Indentiproof Issuer will issue these to your VC Wallet. VC Wallet allows you to display the full contents of your credentials, to copy them to other phones that you own, to delete them when you no longer want them, and to refresh them when they need to be updated. VC Wallet also allows you to create self-issued credentials (for such things as names and addresses of your friends and family). VC Wallet allows Identiproof Verifiers to request multiple selectively-disclosed credentials from you and for you to present them in a single verifiable presentation. You are given full visibility of the personal information that is being requested by Indentiproof Verifiers, and you can refuse to present your credentials if you wish. The credentials you send to Identiproof Verifiers are always up to date with your latest personal information and only contain the minimum personal information required by the Identifproof Verifier, allowing it to easily conform to GDPR. VC Wallet is called directly from your web browser when you visit a web site of an Identiproof Verifier. You can also launch VC Wallet yourself to read in QR codes from Identiproof Verifiers.
