Virtual Diary: Private Journal

For people who keep a diary.

Virtual Diary is a real paper diary on your iPad. Open the leather cover, pick up your Apple Pencil, and write today's page. No feed, no streaks, no AI, no account. Just you and the page.

It is made for people who write most nights and mean to keep it up for years: who want the feel of paper, a diary nobody else can read, and pages that are still there in forty years.

ONE PAGE A DAY, LIKE PAPER
• Every day has its own dated page, ruled like a good notebook. When the lines are full, the page is full, so you write what matters.
• Write with Apple Pencil in black, fountain-pen blue or sepia, with an eraser, undo and redo. Your handwriting stays handwriting.
• Prefer the keyboard? Type on the same page, and turn handwriting into text whenever you like.
• A short line from a writer or thinker sits at the foot of every page: 366 of them, one for each date of the year.
• If a page is still blank, it asks a gentle question to get you started.

A BOOK, NOT AN APP
• A stitched leather cover with your name pressed in gold, and pages that turn like paper.
• Tap Save when you are done: your page is kept, and the diary closes.
• A satin ribbon brings you back to today from any other day.

READ IT BACK
• On This Day: see what you wrote on today's date a year ago, or five.
• Search finds the words you typed and the words you wrote by hand. Handwriting is read on your iPad, privately.
• The calendar jumps to any year in two taps, with a dot on every day you wrote.
• A gentle reminder at the time you choose, if you want one. It skips the days you have already written, and never shows what you wrote.

PRIVATE, AND SAFE FOR YEARS
• No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking, no AI. We have no servers that hold diaries, and we can never read yours.
• Lock the diary with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
• Lock a finished page so it can never be changed, like ink that has dried.
• A private copy of every page, typed and handwritten, is kept in your own iCloud Drive. Lose your iPad, and your diary comes back on the next one.
• Export the whole diary as an ordinary folder whenever you like. Built to hold decades of writing.
• Write on a Mac too? Turn on Sync with your Mac, and your pages stay in step through your own iCloud.

ONE PRICE, FOR LIFE
Your first page is free. Lifetime Access is a single in-app purchase that keeps this diary open for writing on this iPad, for good. No subscription, ever. Pages you have written can always be read, and you can restore your purchase at any time from Settings.

WHY IT EXISTS
Virtual Diary is made by one person who wanted a diary that behaves like one: it should open, give you today's page, and keep what you wrote, privately and for good. Questions or ideas? Write to support@virtualdiary.app. Every email is read.
