Vocab Arcade

Vocab Arcade makes learning Thai more active through short, focused games. Practice reading, spelling, listening, pronunciation, and tone rules with curated vocabulary designed for everyday learners.

Choose from four learning games:

• Hangman — Build Thai words one character at a time. Use Study mode for helpful English and romanization hints, or Test mode when you are ready for a challenge.

• Word Search — Find Thai words hidden in a puzzle and reinforce each answer with its pronunciation and English meaning.

• Numbers — Listen to Thai numbers and type what you hear. Start with single digits and work up to hundreds. Study numbers in order, test yourself with shuffled questions, or solve spoken addition and subtraction problems.

• Tone Rules Speed Run — Practice identifying Thai tones using consonant classes, vowel length, syllable type, and tone marks. Explanations and reference guides help you understand the rules behind each answer.

Hear different Thai voices

Choose vocabulary recordings from Khroo Ying or Supad, or the app’s generated Chirp voice. Explore teacher profiles, listen to samples, and use Random playback to hear words from your selected voices.

Build useful everyday vocabulary

Explore more than 300 Thai words, phrases, and consonants across 33 curated vocabulary lists, organized into practical categories:

• Tourism and survival Thai
• The Thai alphabet
• Culture and common expressions

Curated vocabulary includes Thai spelling, learner-friendly romanization, concise English meanings, and pronunciation recordings. Selected compounds and expressions also include component explanations to make them easier to remember.

Create your own study lists

Create and edit vocabulary lists by entering Thai words, romanization, and translations. Your custom lists are saved on your device and can be used in supported vocabulary games.

Learn offline

Core games and bundled pronunciation recordings work without an internet connection. When you are online, Vocab Arcade can download updated vocabulary and pronunciation recordings and save them for later offline use. Optional handwriting input may require a one-time recognition-model download before it can be used offline.
