Description by Armagan Nader Grebe(from the App Store)
You want to ride – not create accounts, compare subscriptions, or upload your data somewhere. Volero is the bike computer on your iPhone: precise GPS tracking, heart rate zones, training form, and a full maintenance log for your bikes. Everything stays local on your device.
YOUR RIDE, DOWN TO THE METER - Second-by-second GPS recording – filtered so noise never distorts your route - Reliable background recording with no gaps at traffic lights - Pauses don't count toward your ride time – your average stays honest - Elevation gain with smart smoothing: real climbs instead of phantom meters - Live gradient in percent, calibrated right on the handlebar
A COCKPIT YOU CAN READ AT SPEED - Big speed display, ride time and distance at a glance - Live heart rate with zone color when a sensor is connected - The map can rotate with your direction of travel – just like Apple Maps - Light and dark map styles, with OLED-friendly true black at night
STRUCTURED TRAINING – NO SUBSCRIPTION - Pairs with any Bluetooth heart rate monitor (chest strap or armband) and reconnects automatically - 5 heart rate zones, analyzed automatically for every ride - Training load per ride using the established Edwards TRIMP method - Fitness and form curves (PMC): spot building phases, peak form, and looming overload - Calorie estimates based on heart rate or speed
YOUR YEAR AT A GLANCE - Dashboard for week, month, 6 months, or year – always compared to the previous period - Activity heatmap: one cell per day, colored by distance ridden - Personal bests: longest ride, most climbing, fastest average, top speed, highest heart rate - Every ride in detail: scrubbable elevation profile, speed gradient along the route, zone distribution, start and end address
YOUR BIKES, YOUR MAINTENANCE LOG - Manage any number of bikes – road, gravel, MTB, e-bike – with photo and full specs - The odometer updates automatically with every ride - Maintenance log with 11 types, from chain lube to full service, including costs - Due-date suggestions by distance or time – never miss a worn chain again
BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD RIDING - Crash protection: if iOS kills the app, your ride isn't lost – just resume or save it on the next launch - Three sensor profiles from Precise to Eco so your battery lasts the really long rides – switchable mid-ride - Optionally, every ride lands in Apple Health as a workout
YOUR DATA BELONGS TO YOU - No account, no server, no tracking, no ads - Everything stays local on your iPhone and is included in your iCloud backup - One tap in Settings deletes everything – completely
Volero is available in English and German, with metric and imperial units.
