WanderWhy: Make new friends

WanderWhy: the social app young people deserve

Just moved to a new city, or a local who’s bored? WanderWhy is a social network built to pull you off your phone and into real life, with the people, places and plans already happening around you.

New friends, new experiences, on your terms.

Mood-waves: Let your community know what you feel like doing in the next 24 hours. Hang out. Grab food. Hit karaoke at an unreasonable hour. Mood-wave signals show up in real time and disappear on their own, so you only see what’s happening right here, right now. Jump into other people’s Mood-wave chats, or send your own so others can join your plan.

Geotags: Mark places on the map that have a vibe and a story. The map fills up with your Geotags and everyone else’s, so there’s always something new to visit, see or try. Collect Geotags into albums and share them with friends and on other socials.

Time Capsules: A story that exists in only one place on Earth. Photos, a message, a song. No feeds, no notifications, and no way to open it without going there. You find it by exploring the world around you. Leave one for someone you choose, or for whoever walks by next.
We have no love for apps that eat your attention and your time. We want you out in the world, being social. That’s why WanderWhy exists. The world is full of great places and amazing people, and WanderWhy is the bridge to the ones that fit you.

Safety and community:
WanderWhy is for adults 18 and over. All profiles, chats, Geotags, Mood-waves and Time Capsules are subject to our Community Guidelines. Reporting and blocking tools are available on every profile and every piece of content, and reports are reviewed by our moderation team. You’re always in control of your visibility and who can contact you.

Get started:
1) Create your profile: name, username, country and a short bio.
2) Explore the map full of Geotags, Time Capsules and Mood-waves around you.
3) Send your own Mood-waves, mark places and leave Time Capsules for your friends.
