Whym: Decision Maker Tools

A small pause is worth more than a long regret.

Whym is a pocket toolkit of eight small tools for the moments you can't decide.

You're staring at the "buy now" button. You've been circling the same job offer for weeks. You and three friends can't agree on dinner. You've spent twenty minutes on the same Netflix scroll. None of these moments needs a journal. They need the right small tool, used quickly.

THE TOOLS

— Impulse Stopper. Write down the urge, set a wait timer up to 24 hours, walk away. A Live Activity counts down on your Lock Screen so you can't forget what you were about to do. Most impulses don't survive the wait.

— Pros & Cons. Add what you've got. Weight each item Low, Medium, or High. The tool computes the verdict so you don't tally it in your head and rig the math on purpose.

— Bracket Decider. Two to sixteen options, head to head, until one is left. Better than ranking from scratch because you only ever choose between two things at a time.

— Option Sieve. A list, a swipe. Keep this, eliminate that. Useful for restaurants, movies, places to live.

— Daily Randomizer. Shuffles the order of any list with a tap. For morning routines, workout sets, or any time you don't want to decide where to start.

— Gut Check. Cards cycle through your options. Tap when one feels right. No analysis. Sometimes that's the answer.

— Spin Wheel. The classic. Add options, spin, accept the result.

— Coin Toss. A coin, but on your phone. For when one of those is all you need.
