WinPilot Live!

The purpose of WinPilot is to aid glider pilots in making strategic decisions related to preparation of a flight, its execution, and after the flight analysis.

Selected Features:
- Calculation and display of current OLC-Plus distance
- In-flight FAI Triangle Optimization
- In-flight AAT Optimization
- Weather maps directly on Map screen (included with WinPilot subscription are maps for zoom 6 and 7, for additional zoom levels an account on fcst24.com is required).
- Final glide to the Start Point of OLC flight
- Climb maximizer when connected to a flight computer

This version allows optional display of weather maps on top of top terrain map with hourly resolution. Weather forecast maps come from Fcst24.com. The following maps are supported at this time:
- Cumulus Cloud Base
- Cross-Country Speed
- Overdevelopment
- Thermal Updraft Velocity
- Thermals plus Convergence
- Wind at 10 meters above ground
- Wind at the top of Boundary Layer
- Wind/Wave 3D (it is possible to select altitude for wind map)
- Rain
- Temperature

To obtain hourly weather forecasts for zoom 6 and 7, and to unlock GPS Mode, a WinPilot subscription is needed.

Using WinPilot in the Simulator mode is free, but to use with actual GPS position, a subscription is needed.

To obtain daily weather forecasts for zoom 8 and above a separate subscription from Fcst24.com is required.

There are two WinPilot Live! subscription options:

1 Month subscription for $4.99 and 1 year subscription for $38.99.

- The first month is free

- Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase

- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period

- Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal

- Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase

- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

Note: To monitor the position in regards to surrounding airspace, WinPilot needs to monitor your location even when the app is running in the background. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
