Word Ensemble

Trying to improve or keep up a second language? Word Ensemble gives you 400 French and Spanish puzzles, with optional definitions and hints, to help you maintain and improve your language skills. Find four groups of four related words across four levels of vocabulary, from Beginner all the way to Expert. More languages to come!

• Find the connections: pick four words that go together and tap Submit.
• Learn every word: Definition shows the English meaning, the phrase, and an example sentence with its translation.
• Get unstuck without spoilers: up to three hints per puzzle, starting with a small clue, then a stronger one. Hints never pick words for you.
• Remember what you learn: save words and phrases to your vocabulary list. Mark them as you review, and they come back spaced out over time so they stick.
• Two ways to play: Challenge (four mistakes allowed) or Practice (unlimited tries).
• 200 puzzles per language, 50 at each level. Play by level or choose a specific puzzle.
• Light and dark mode, Dynamic Type, and VoiceOver labels.

All 400 puzzles are free. No account, no ads, no tracking, and no data collected. Works completely offline.
