World Bible Guide: Audio Bible

Hear the Bible read aloud, read it in seven languages, and bring a question to Peter, Paul, Philip, John the Baptist, Judas or Jesus — when a reply rests on a passage, it shows you which.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• Listen — every chapter read aloud, on into the next with your screen locked
• Speak — ask Simon Peter, Paul, Philip, John the Baptist, Judas Iscariot or Jesus
• Journeys — one of them walks you through something, over several conversations
• The King James Version, the Berean Standard Bible, and a plain-language reading of every verse
• Bibles in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, French and German
• The app itself in all seven languages

LISTEN

Tap the headphones on any chapter and it is read to you, verse by verse, with the verse being read lit on the page. It carries on into the next chapter and the next book with your screen locked, and the lock screen and your headphones control it. Choose the speed, set a sleep timer, and download whole books to listen with no connection. Listening is part of the subscription; the Verse of the Day is free to hear.

SPEAK

Ask Simon Peter about the morning at the tomb, or Paul about the road to Damascus. When the answer rests on a passage it says which, so you can read it yourself.

A JOURNEY, AND WHAT IT LEAVES YOU WITH

A journey is longer than a question. One of the six walks you through something over several conversations, in their own way and at your pace. It follows a map of how people actually move through a difficulty, so each conversation opens what the last one uncovered — and at the end it shows you your own picture: where you stand now and what you keep returning to, drawn from what you said along the way.

NOT A CHATBOT WITH A NAME ON IT

Everything scripture records about a person — what they did and said, what they feared, what they would not give up — is read into a model of how that person saw the world. Replies come from that. It is why Peter does not answer like Paul. It remains an interpretation built from the text: the app says so before a word is exchanged, and never suggests you are speaking with the person themselves.

THE BIBLE IN SEVEN LANGUAGES

In English, the King James Version, the modern Berean Standard Bible, and a plain-language reading of every verse, written to be understood on the first pass. Beside them, six Bibles in their own languages and their own numbering: Reina-Valera 1909, the Bíblia Livre, the Russian Synodal, the Kulish–Puluj Ukrainian, Louis Segond 1910 and Luther 1912. Download one once and it reads offline. A verse you keep is the same verse in every translation. The plain-language reading is in English.

THE BIBLE — FREE

All sixty-six books, Genesis to Revelation, each with its own artwork, in every translation, nothing held back. The English ships inside the app, so on a plane or underground every verse is there.

YOUR ACCOUNT

The Bible needs no account — open the app and read. An account is for listening and for Speak: it keeps your conversations on whichever device you pick up, and carries your subscription. Sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address.

THE SUBSCRIPTION

The subscription is for listening and for Speak. Every reader gets one journey and ten questions a month at no cost; a subscription reads every chapter to you and lifts those limits.

• $6.99 per month
• $39.99 per year — about half the monthly price, and about $3.33 a month

One subscription covers your iPhone and iPad on the same Apple Account. Speak also works on the web at worldbible.guide with the same account; listening is in the app.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel yours in your Apple Account settings.
