Wrecking Ball Blocks

Wrecking Ball Blocks is a build-it-then-knock-it-down sandbox for young children. There is no timer, no score to chase, and nothing to buy. You build something you are proud of, and then you get to wreck it.

BUILDING

Tap the ground inside the taped-off site to lay bricks and logs. They are cut to the same grid, so they meet edge to edge instead of leaving gaps — turn a piece sideways and you can lay a square foundation, or cross logs into a cabin the way a real one is built. Take a piece away again with the eraser, or undo the last one you placed.

KNOCKING IT DOWN

When the building is finished, the crane rolls in. Drag the screen to move it around your building, then pull the wrecking ball back with the slider — a little, or a lot — and press Swing.

The physics are real, and they are the whole point. A tall tower topples differently from a squat one. Logs roll. A wall can take a hole through the middle and still stand. One tower can bring down the tower beside it. The crane sizes itself to whatever you built, so a wide site gets a bigger machine with a longer reach.

Save a building you like, with a picture of it, and load it back whenever you want to knock it down again.
