YarnGrid: Knitting Chart Maker

Image to knitting pattern, on your phone, in a few taps.

YarnGrid turns a photo into a stitch-by-stitch chart you can knit, crochet or cross-stitch. Automatic color extraction picks a workable set of yarn colors, so you never choose every color by hand.

MAKE A PATTERN
• Pick a photo from your library, or take a new one
• Choose the grid size, from 20x20 to 100x100 stitches
• Choose 2 to 12 colors
• Watch the chart change as you move the sliders
• Zoom and pan on a large chart, so you keep your place mid-row
• Read the color legend, with yarn quantities for each color

EXPORT AND PRINT
• A print-ready PDF with the full chart and the color legend
• A plain-text version to share in a message
• Dark mode

THE COMMUNITY
• Browse the patterns other makers published
• Import any pattern you like, and make it your own
• Publish your own patterns, with up to five photos of the finished piece
• Find new free patterns every day
