Yours - Handwritten Letters

The thing you most wanted to say usually slips past the fast window.

A message arrives before you have finished thinking it, and it weighs about as much as the second it took. Thank you, I am sorry, I miss you. Those get carried off at the same speed as everything else.

Yours is the place kept aside for them. You write with your own hand, straight onto the screen. Nothing is typed. The shake in your letters stays. So does the place you stopped, and the line you crossed out. What the other person opens is not a finished paragraph. It is the way your hand moved.


WHAT YOU MEAN TAKES TIME TO ARRIVE

The moment you press the seal and drop it in the box, the letter is on the road. It does not appear straight away. Someone carries it the rest of the way, until it reaches their morning.

For as long as that takes, a letter is standing between the two of you. You think your words over once more. They go about a day without knowing yet. That waiting is part of the letter.


THE DAYS THAT ASK FOR MORE THAN A MESSAGE

Birthdays, anniversaries, the day you first met, an exam passed, a new job, a move, someone getting better. Some days are too shy to say out loud and too big for a chat window.

· Choose the day it should land. Write tonight so it reaches them on their birthday morning.
· Occasion designs for birthdays, thank you, love, Christmas, congratulations and get well. A card and its envelope open together.
· Five new stamps are issued each month. Once the month is over they do not come back.


THEY DO NOT NEED THE APP

Hand them a link and they watch the letter being written, right in their browser. Every letter also carries a short code. If they get Yours later, that code puts the letter into their own mailbox to keep.


HOW IT GOES

1. Choose your paper or a postcard
2. Write by hand. There is no eraser
3. Fold it, put it in the envelope, press the wax seal
4. Address it, affix a stamp, drop it in the slot
5. It sets off


STAMPS

One letter takes one stamp. Three come with your P.O. Box when you open it. You can earn more by watching an ad, or buy a book of them at the post office.


YOURS PLUS

A monthly subscription. Post as much as you like without counting stamps, and every paid design opens. It renews automatically each month and can be cancelled any time in your store account settings.


WHAT STAYS

Letters you receive stay in your mailbox. Open one again and the handwriting writes itself out from the beginning, exactly as it did the first time.
