Scan & Google Play

AppBrain Ad Detector already displays concern information about an app when you install it. With this new feature, AppBrain Ad Detector can give you that information before you download an app in a clear, non-intrusive manner.

How to use

When you click on a link or advertisement on your Android device, choosing "Scan & Google Play" will take you to Google Play. In the meantime, Ad Detector will fetch concern data for this app from our servers.
While Google Play opens, AppBrain Ad Detector will show a box in the top right corner with the results.
A green box with a check mark means that there are no concerns
A red box with a warning sign means that we have found concerns
A blue box with a question mark means that we have no data on this app yet
An orange box with a wifi icon indicates a connection problem
Clicking on the box opens a window with the concerns and other features of the app.

This feature only works with apps that refer to the market through links, advertisements and app discovery systems such as AppBrain. It does not work when opening an app from inside Google Play itself.
