User-friendly, cross-platform, multi device and secure encryption. It's sometimes a bit slow depending on your connection, but I prioritize security over speed. I use a Mac and have Android smartphone.

It's a good app for encrypting files on cloud. But there are few drawbacks. For example, you cannot encrypt or decrypt all files on your storage at once or there is no function of creating notes in the app. Also, the inapp viewer for txt files suck. The app protection should have selectable password and option to disable fingerprint. Some more thing to improve:more sets of favorite folders, system in offline files or ability to have all files locally and on cloud without premium & Fix activities.

I love this app. All of my documents are encrypted in transit and on my cloud storage. The process is completely seamless, and I am in control of my encryption keys. My local backups are unencrypted, but I could just as easily have them encrypted, and both methods would be safe from loss if Boxcryptor went off-line, so long as I have my encryption keys in a safe place. This smart software has given me great peace of mind while using cloud storage. It has worked perfectly over the past six months.
★★☆☆☆
I really want to like this app, but I don't. The storage provider functionality that should let Boxcryptor provide access to the android file picker flat out doesn't work; browsing works though, so you can look at a directory listing but not open anything. There's no way to mark an entire directory for offline use. There's no way to sync a file or folder across multiple cloud storage. There's no way to upload a directory into an encrypted folder. There's too much missing functionality to list.

"Only existing users can sign in. New accounts cannot be created anymore." Don't get it...

Installed this app so that I can acess my files only to find out that you cant make an account anymore, only use an old account which was a waste of my storage which is already reaching its capacity

Were purchased by Dropbox and new users can't register or use Boxcryptor anymore.
