AA Parking

★★★★★ SURPRISINGLY GOOD. Having been quite disappointed with many of the other AA apps, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this one works. If the price tag is too much for you, you can still get all the same info for free from the Parkopedia website (from where this AA app has taken its data) – Parkopedia even has a mobile version which loads quickly & neatly in your web browser. Google maps, of course, can nowadays also provide a lot of useful car park info for free. However, what sets this app apart is how well the info is laid out & nicely integrated with click-throughs to other apps such as Google StreetView & Navigation. Also, it auto-located me quickly & accurately. For me, the convenience, clarity of info & time it saves during a busy day more than justifies its cost. The app also includes a little extra as a bonus: AA Breakdown & Traffic (Roadwatch). I wouldn’t get too excited about that, though, since it is already available for free as a standalone app. And whilst that part of it works reasonably well, it also provides a good opportunity for the AA to take more money off you – there are lots of links to their various insurance services, premium rate telephone lines,& also their credit card!

★★★★★ Galaxy S3 Fantastic app. I go on lots of trips with the kids, finding the cheapest parking is a must and this app does that.

★★★★★ Clear & Precise I've found this app very useful when planning our trips out anywhere. Every piece of information you need (price, size of car park, directions to the car park) it's all there. Definitely one of the must-have apps for your android!

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't deliver. Searched for street parking in an area of Camden, London I know well and came back with 0 results. Using the parkopedia website it appears to lack data for most of Camden. What is the point of an app like this if it can't tell you where to park?

★★☆☆☆ Total waste of time Only shows car parks, no street parking restrictions or motorcycle bays. Wasted my money

★★☆☆☆ Rather a let down Having read the description, I thought it would show on-street/pay and display parking. I set the filter to display only on-street parking and for all the towns in the UK I tried, there was no on-street parking shown. Rather disappointing as a web search can provide greater detail of parking and many councils have downloadable pdf's of on-street/pay and display parking togther with locations of machines. Thought this would be much better than it turned out to be - should be free as a promo for AA. As it turns out it makes me think the AA are ripping me off.
