Blio eBooks

Don’t just read books. Experience them.

Blio doesn't just put pages on a screen, it offers new possibilities.
In Blio
a textbook becomes a classroom…
a cookbook becomes a kitchen…
and a fairytale, a place where dreams really do come true.
Because Blio is so much more than words.
We are an experience.

Bringing books to life is about more than just recreating the words on the page. That’s why we developed Blio.

Blio is smart enough to know that books are more than just words: there’s style, presentation, and a world of color. And smart enough to know all of that enhances your reading experience. That’s what you love about books. So books in Blio have the same layout, fonts, and full-color images that you enjoy in the print version of your favorite titles. Finally there’s an eBook reader that brings not only novels to life, but cookbooks, travel guides, how-to manuals, textbooks, and children’s books to life in vibrant color.

But eBooks should do more: they should leverage everything that the device you’re reading on is capable of. Blio does just that, with many books having read aloud by a text-to-speech voice (purchase required) or by an audiobook track, with words highlighted as they are spoken. You can look up words you might not be familiar with or get more information on a topic by searching Google, Wikipedia, and more without ever leaving your book. And Blio has a virtual library that you can view from anywhere, so you can access and read your books on any of your devices.

Try a whole new eBook experience with Blio, where books are more than words.

User reviews of Blio eBooks
No instructions on how to get text-to-speech. In the app description they devote a paragraph in telling how wonderful it is, but don’t provide any instructions as how to do. There is nothing on the installed app that leads you to text-to-speech. Thus useless!

Best e-reader I've used Simple controls and elegant design makes this one of the best e-readers I've used so far. There are a few technical hiccups (have to import books instead of simply dropping them in a specific directory, store has a bit too much downtime), but for just reading, it can't be beat. The only real issue I have with it so far is that a book I bought through the store on my PC demands that I purchase it AGAIN if I want to download it to my phone. Not sure if that's an account error, but I hope it gets fixed soon.

Cannot login Great reader with a nice format, but major login issues. Says it cannot communicate with the servers. Using an HTC Incredible 2. Please fix this!

Device orientation is annoying Every time my phone slightly moves, the app tries to change the display to landscape. With a really annoying delay. I wish there was no delay and that there was an option to lock orientation
