Recent changes: * Bugfixes * PLEASE NOTE: Moving app to SD card is not recommended if you use Bloomberg widgets
Latest version: 1.0.13.100 (for Android version 2.1 and higher, supports App2SD)
The UI is not bad and the ability to download the articles automatically is a good plus.
But, unfortunately it has very bad power management and it is constantly using the CPU (3-5%) (Froyo 2.2). Also it does not provide access to Portfolio and other account features from the Web version so you will have to re enter all your information...
Note: Even though I "dislike it" for the time being I keep it installed.
Pros: Able to download news before going into a subway / flight and read during (no data needed after stories are updated)
Huge amount of content. From Technology to Global Equity Markets to Fixed Income News to Opinions.
Cons: UI could use some work. Professional featuers (MSG, IB, etc) aren't there yet, but I heard that they are coming soon.
Overall: A+ for a free app.
Note: GPS use is for targeted advertising.
Bloomberg Professional Users Note: App is in beta and it looks fantastic. Stay tuned.
DroidX- Resource EATER! Heavy application although v. nice. BB Anywhere user.

If it can have 3 or 4 decimals in the stock value. It will be good.

Poorly designed app.. Needs to improve in portfolios such as adding fees, total gains/loss, etc. Charting is very basic, with very few indicators, no candlestick or OHLC, with many bugs. No financial statements. Other apps like Stock Watcher have much better features.

Average coding, tolerable Battery & data munching widget service seems to stop permanently if app is moved to SD then service killed after starting app, deleting GOOG from portfolio, saving then quitting. I don't give a **** about any BB widget, so this works for me, but pretty inconsidetate on BB's part. Sort order on news seems a bit random, but the worst "feature" is that equity futures for Asia indices are about 1 day old compared with the BB website. You'd think they could present their own data properly after 13 updates but no
