Description
BotSync periodically synchronizes files with a remote SSH SFTP server, over the wifi or cell network. As new files/directories are created, BotSync will recursively download them to the phone, or upload them to the server (like rsync). Use it to transfer new content securely, wirelessly, and automatically.
Why pay for Dropbox when you can run your own private cloud? BotSync works with opensshd - no inefficient, expensive, or potentially-insecure server SW required.
BotSync transfers about 4X faster than AndFTP SFTP.

Works great! I have a home server running Linux on it. I was looking for a way to sync my pictures from my Android phone to my file server without having to do any cloud sync with something like Dropbox. This works great to upload my pictures. I did not want it to move the pictures, I simply wanted to sync them so they existed on my phone still (I'll manage those manually if I want to delete) while mirroring them on my server as well. Speeds were also pretty decent. I was getting about 700 KB/s, which I find fantastic compared to another app I recently tried, which did 40 KB/s on a good day. It's a simple no-frills app that does exactly what I need it to. My search is over, finally.

Straight to the point Does what it says: rsync over WiFi, at roughly 500-700 Kb/s. Very easy to set up but lacks scalability (multiple configurations would be great). Has become my default sync tool for android. Thanks for the great work!

This app looked very promising. I set it up to sync with my SSH server, and it starts downloading the first file. Once the file has been downloaded, it app crashes. I can start it up again, but it does the same thing. It will download the file, but does not write the file to the phone. It crashes without providing any indication of what is going on.

One major flaw For a long time I would leave this running on a cycle to update php and js on a devel server while I edited files and tested it. The problem is that when a file is shortened it leaves the tail of the file on the server, breaking the code file. Also, it does not delete files on the server. Basically, it needs some options or a way to edit the rsync command line parameters. This has become a major problem, and I have switched to using a different app for rsync to the remote server.

Garbage Running cm9 ran once didn't add a thing and ONLY ran once just fc's after that one time.

SFTP busted Sync goes to about 20% and just hangs. Should have heeded the other reviews' warnings
