Description
Call Announcer provides an audible caller id for your Android phone. Utilizing your contact list and Google’s Text to Speech (TTS) capabilities, all incoming calls are announced alone or over your current ring tone. Incoming SMS messages can also be announced and Read. All announcements are fully customizable.
Text messages can be announced over some Bluetooth devices. Try the free version to see if it works with your device.

Just what I needed My new Galaxy S7 didn't have option to announce calls like my old S3 did. Had trouble getting it to work but got fast response from support. I had to change the default settings to say anything but "Call from xxxx" Once I made a change and saved it everything worked fine. Love that I can customize the options to announce which callers and SMS senders are annouced and that I can turn off temporarily just by putting my phone face down. Would recommend this app.

Annoying icon Used this app for 12 months and it does what I want it to. The latest update comes with an annoying icon that clutters the task bar and can't be turned off. Requires a way of removing the icon otherwise I will delete app for another caller announcer.
