An amazing spin-off that's incredibly fun and challenging. The overarching story — the plot concerning Allende — had me so invested that I want a sequel ASAP. If you're a Layton fan, though this is different from the usual, this game has its own charm; give it a try, and you'll enjoy it, guaranteed! Anyway, just the play the game if you like the detective mystery genre. Also, Lucy and Allende has such a cute dynamic; I'm glad we can see more of them from their official manga! PS Smooth jazz BGM.

I was hooked from the second case immediately, the free trial definitely gives you a feel of whether you'll enjoy it. If you do like it then the further cases are surprisingly affordable and the entire game is always ad free. Very fun story and characters, classic layton design.

I mean... the very first actual case... there is nothing matching the murder weapon's description in the room THAT I CAN ACCESS. I tried everything (even though I knew they were wrong), because there is nothing in that room I can access OR SEE that matches the description... and, guess what? NOT ONE ITEM IN THAT ROOM THAT I CAN SEE AND ACCESS IS THE RIGHT ANSWER-& THE HINT BUTTON ISN'T THERE. There is a stupidly convoluted process to access hints, but I couldn't find them ANYWHERE. 0 Stars.

Fun, but they waste a freebie by setting up the scene at the police station when they're showing the rival cop & the commissioner with the new cop. Other games offer MORE free episodes before expecting you to buy
