Description
Mike Singleton's '84 classic Adventure Strategy game, brought to and updated for Android.
"The Lords of Midnight is not simply an adventure game nor simply a war game. It was really a new type that became known as an epic game, for as you play the Lords of Midnight you will be writing a new chapter in the history of the peoples of the Free. You will guide individual characters across the land of Midnight on vital quests but you will also command armies that must endeavour to hold back the foul hordes of Doomdark, the witch king. Yours will be no inevitable victory." - Mike Singleton 1984

The Best Game Ever - Now on Android! I have been a fan of this game since the ZX Spectrum days and consider the best game ever created. This version, made in memory of its original creator Mike Singleton, is a very accurate version with updated graphics but still keeping to the original style - A real labor of love. If you know it from its Spectrum days, then just download it, you will get exactly what it says on the tin! If you are not old enough to remember that far back, download not just a piece of gaming history, but a real masterpiece of strategic game play. Command huge armies across a beautiful rendered world, make adventure for the Ice Crown and defeat the evil Doom dark. The author is now working on recreating Singleton's other epic, the sequel Doom dark's Revenge. I've never purchased a game for a phone before, but this was one of the best and most worthwhile £2.99s I have ever spent. It plays like a dream. Still just has hard to beat as the original. However, the controls just flow, and it works a treat. I have nothing but massive praise. Very well done.... Just buy it!

A great conversion of a classic! A big thank you. This and doom dark are my all-time favorites. Kept me busy for a long time. Hopefully now I can find a way of completing this legendary game! The youth of today may find it hard to see where I am coming from. They can't Go back 30yrs to experience it 1st time around. Mike Singleton ...legend!

Neat game Cool open-world game.__One small thing that I think would be a great help would be maybe a "choose" icon on the think/seek/hide screen (smaller icons?). As it is now, it takes three taps to go from thinking to seeking. Also, maybe provide a way to disable the direction arrows that flicker when scrolling or tapping a direction (or just scrap them)? They don't add anything and seem a little annoying after playing awhile.__In any case, this game is worth trying.

Only for old men's nostalgia If you have never used anything older than a Windows 98 (like me) then you are extremely unlikely to enjoy this as much as its ratings suggest. This is almost purely for folk who wants to relieve a childhood experience, and for people who enjoy old games. Like, Ancient games. The system is brutally unforgiving, the map confusing, and the game is unplayable and unwinnable without a comprehensive guide/manual. Good thing I got this on sale, so it's just a single wasted dollar. I'm surprised the reviews are overwhelmingly positive and perfect, surely there got to be more people who bought it because of its ratings instead of nostalgia?

Ok. I don't see why everyone thinks this game is amazing. The developer has done a good job but in my opinion the game is boring. I think this is possibly because the game was around before I was born, so a lot of people are enjoying the game as a novelty. Whereas because I've never known the game previously, I find it extremely boring. Good point: Developer has done a great job. Bad point: Boring game.
