KNOWN FIRMWARE ISSUES (please do not report them):
- Samsung phones: Because of a firmware bug those phones may report extreme battery consumption for GPS Status (and for other programs using sensors) even if it is not running. This is harmless and no power is consumed! Just ignore it and let's hope that a future firmware upgrade will fix this.

- Drois 3: The initial Droid 3 firmware does not implement the satellite status API so you will not see the satellites and the signal strength bars. The rest of the features should work properly.

- Motorola phones: Turning your phone to airplane mode will turn off the GPS receiver too on some phones. This is a hardware limitation.

- Droid Charge: Reports 0 altitude

- LG Optimus: The phone cannot report the SNR values correctly (all signal bars will be maxed out)

- Nexus One/S: With Andoid 2.3 it cannot report NMEA sentences. This means that the DOP/HDOP/VDOP values are not available.

Using it to speed up gps lock. Works fine on HTC Hero. But on Nexus S it has more troublle to achieve a lock.

A handy app to have around. I typically use this to force downloads of GPS assistance data when location services seem to have trouble finding me.

Use it for A-GPS. It works, but it could use a bit of work to provide a little more extra information. If it could show raw NMEA data, that would be fantastic.

Must-have show-off app. (Update: does not show altitude on my Samsung Charge). Find out exactly where you are with GPS, but also also your current speed, heading, and elevation. Also has a bubble-level and tilt indicators to help with other projects.

Have always been a fan of this app & really helps with the speed of my GPS lock but uses battery even when not running. Since last update. Galaxy S 2.3.3

Fixed Nexus S 4G GPS bug! This app seems to have fixed GPS on my nexus s 4g. I previously had constant trouble getting GPS signal in the navigation program, installing this app gives you a fix that is much quicker than a hard restart. WIN!
