★★★ Kaiten's origin ★★★

Kaiten is based on the popular open source app K-9 Mail and was built by K-9's lead developers Jesse and Chris. By buying Kaiten you not only get an awesome email client, you also support the open source version because almost all of the new features are contributed to K-9 Mail.

The name is a play on K-9. Kaiten is a Japanese word that means rotation and sounds a lot like K10 or K-10.

Nice UI but constantly fails to send emails due to a java error. I so much wanted this to be the one. Hopefully fixes are coming.

Time to look elsewhere For me, both Kaiten and K-9 have always had a tendency to go into 'drain-the-battery-mode' a few times per year. It's been very bad the last few days and I've seen one other program that has some plausible explanations for this and has some workarounds. One of my favorite features was crippled in a recent update: previously, you had a wide choice of colors to identify accounts, now it is very limited.

Top, but sometimes I wish for filter lists like on thunderbird.... still the best.

Not pushing Doesn't push anymore. Manual refresh freezes. Have to force close and restart to fetch mail. Useless now. 4.4.2 Moto X, Note 3, Razr M.

Was great on Samsung s4 I used this on a Samsung s2 3 and 4 and it was great. Smooth and fast. Now on an S5 it is slow, clunky and does not update to the imap consistently. Very frustrating. Settings are the same as the S4 which still runs the software great. ---- updating review - - - On the s5 it will not delete emails from the imap. Very frustrating having emails reappear over and over. Also duplicate emails are appearing. Moreover navigation with with star and unread messages does not work.
