Gurk II, the 8-bit RPG

Gurk II, the 8-bit RPG

The super-charged sequel to the famous 8-bit RPG, Gurk II is a huge new adventure with all of the most requested features added: quests, music, sound, potions, and an improved look! Fans of the original will be shedding tears of joy as they roll for their character's stats, board ships, summon monsters and cast powerful area of effect spells. Players not previously familiar with the realm of Gurk will simply stare in slack-jawed wonder at the beautifully pixelated graphics, all the while being serenaded by the lush and authentic MIDI soundtrack. Only the viscerally-compressed sound FX and challenging new combat tactics will snap them back to their senses. This game radiates a pure and unabashed joy of old-school RPGing; your $1 couldn't possibly go any further now, or back in 1986 when these kinds of games were actually commercially viable. Enjoy!

User reviews of Gurk II, the 8-bit RPG
simple, nice, interesting with old-school graphic + some music game. It's what I was looking for

I really like this game but have 2 recommendations for Gurk III... 1. Don't have so much experience between levels. Doubling up is too much! It takes 80,000 to get to lvl 13 and 160k to lvl 14. I know the game is beat by then but it's still fun to gain more levels. 2. Allow multiple games. I had to erase my super strong game to start a new one. I'd like to have up to 3 different parties/games. --- Great Game!!

Just like Gurk, but with plot and stuff. If you take everything that made Gurk fun to play and add in some minor things like colors and plot, then you suddenly have Gurk II. This game is definitely worth playing for any classic RPG gamers out there.

Finaly a good game! This game is awsome! Gameplay is fun and the difficulty seems to be perfect (edit: after i finish the game, i can say that it was a bit too easy for me). Thanks for this game! So rare are the games i buy on the store because none of them are realy to my taste. But this game is worth it! I think its only the second game i finish since i have an "intelligent" phone. And is going to stay my favoritw game for a long time.. well, until i finish Gurk III i hope :)
