Excellent platform for managing passwords. LastPass is the easiest and most user-friendly for newbies. I work in IT, advise businesses and teach digital security. I recommend 4 password managers: Bitwarden, 1Password, NordPass, and LastPass. I've used LastPass for more than 12 years. Would have switched after the data breach had they not been open about the incident and their improvements I wouldn't still be a user. ** I would like to see independent penetration testing as the other 3 do.

2025: still use it!!! I appreciate they have maintained their free version all these years Great app! Very reliable. I have been using it for years and has not disappointed. The UI is very basic and to the point. Would recommend

The app keeps getting stupider and less secure over time. A recent update broke autofill. I used to be able to log in with biometrics for autofill, which would be cached for a few minutes. Now, I'm promoted for my master password ever single time. I should rarely, if ever, be promoted for my master password, especially when I have more physical based login methods including biometrics and a YubiKey hardware token. Apparently those methods are no longer considered valid.

LastPass used to be my favorite password manager, and then they got in the way of themselves. The worst part is that it waits until you have no internet to start hiding passwords (the thing you actually need from LastPass) from you even if you were fully authenticated into LastPass before you lost internet! This is particularly frustrating when you're on an airplane and need to access the internet, but need a password to do that. I'm migrating out of LastPass
