Swipe Home Button

%% I am aware that on Samsung Lollipop device the pull down notification feature is not working. I managed to get a Samsung Lollipop device myself. Unfortunately, I believe this is a Samsung system problem. Not only this app, other app that has pull notification won't work too. I know many of you are Samsung users, but there is nothing I can do at this moment except waiting for next system update :( Meanwhile, please un-check the Force notification under Advanced settings since it only make it worse. %%

Known issues,
1, This app may hinder touching space bar while typing. The workaround is touch the upper part space bar, disable "improve sensitivity" if possible, or use a IME that has a bigger space bar.
2, No back button and Menu button support, because those feature need root permissions. This could be true for other specific feature.
3, This app is not suitable for device that solely use virtual keys.
4, Swipe Home Button has been tested with Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note 2, and HTC One. However, I can not assure other device can use this app.

Useful hints:
1, With Android 4.1+, you could even hide the icon in notification pull-down by unchecking "show notification" setting for Swipe Home Button in your phone's application manager. On Android 4.0 device, the icon in notification pull-down is required to keep the swipes working.
2, Every swipe should start from outside of the screen. The swipe don't need to be fast.
3, Because of this app you may need to press upper part of your space bar when typing. The lower part is occupied by this app.
4, Combining with other "Lock Screen" app can achieve lock screen using swipe.
5, Combining with the great app called "Tasker", by creating tasker Shortcuts, you could achieve any command with swipe, including "Menu back" and "back button".

Very handy Works well. good for fast shortcuts. Only thing I would like to see added is to turn it off in landscape mode, this makes it an issue in things like YouTube and Netflix but either way a good app.

Works great and simple It is exactly what I was looking for: an easy to use replacement for my physical home button. Fast and responsive. Just one thing: since a tap can be registered as a response, could we get it to also be a gesture for actions ? Other than that thanks for making such an awesome app !

Awesome.. I'd like to request... I've been using it for months and it seems very reliable. I would like to request an always portrait mode? It feels inconsistent on my HTC one to swipe from the bottom of the screen in landscape mode instead of swiping from the HTC logo.

Simple light weight and just what I wanted Increasingly I want to switch between recently opened apps. Long passies are too slow. This app makes it light and easy with a swipe. I was about to uninstall because the constant notification was annoying me, then I read the instructions and turned off notifications. Brilliant. But after a while I wanted too often to use the spacebar in the middle. Uninstalled.
