After many months of waiting for a fix, they finally managed to fix the issue with the app locking up with certain accounts. Will consider upgrading to 5 stars if the problem doesn't recur. It's been a while and the app has been working as it should, so I upgraded to 5 stars

Does the job to get me my account information and holdings plus gain/losses. I get notifications, too, for most transactions and alerts on gains. Would be nice to be able to set up more advanced notifications based on combo rules on certain stocks, ETFs, etc. that meet buy or sell signal criteria or set up specific watch lists to get notified on. Also, need more standard performance ranges in default like 3 months, 6 months, 3 year besides 1 month, 1 year and 5 year.

It does not make the best use of whitespace. Logging in without biometrics in olves a lot of steps on the android and the user experience to log in is a bit weird. The application and capabilities are great, but it needs to be designed to use up whitespace a bit better, everything appears spread out and requires scrolling left or right to get information that could have been condensed.

June 1, 2025, Merrill has stopped putting any effort into this app. The same irritations exist for 5 straight years. Disappointing. Clean and easy to use. If you have multiple accounts, it switches you back to the primary account after every action. So if you are making several trades on a secondary account, you have to constantly switch back to the secondary account. Big annoyance, but solid on most fronts.

This platform is only promoting Bank of America, very limited trading, limited securities, very restricted, you will lose every time. They want you to open an account with Bank of America to access funds making third party banks a hassle upon approval with forms & phone calls. Terrible.

Worst brokerage ever have to call in like its 1985 to place a trade and if you lucky you only on hold for 20 mins while your stock is tanking. But they will wave a $29 fee while you lose thousands
