Galaxy s21+ with Android 12 on Verizon. Using it daily, on several different phones over the years, so that I don't have to use the office's Internet to listen to music or watch movies at lunch. I have not had any issues using USB tethering. I do have to reauthorize the USB connection when switching from Ubuntu 20.04 to Windows 10, but I don't do that very often. I also have to use the terminal to start it on Ubuntu, but that's not an issue at all for me. It's paid for itself many times over!

Great product. Cell carriers limit your speed with hotspot or limit your data on a hotspot. This product goes threw your phone so your carrier thinks your phone is using the data. Example T-mobile offers 50 gigs throttled through the phone and 2gb of hotspot throttled. This allows me to use the 50gb. Best part is they support linux, works great on my ubuntu computer. Drawback is there is no icmp requests, so you cannot ping :(.

Doesn't work. USB connection fails right as you try to use it. Waste of money. Did everything to set it up correctly, and get nothing but a headache.

Doesn't support latest Linux Mint OS, worthless for Linux users on new distro versions.
★☆☆☆☆E Summer· Feb 22, 2024
App does not work on Ubuntu distros 21+. The driver package has a dependency strictly for libssl1 when newer distros use libssl3. A temp fix is to delete version 3 and manually replace it with 1, but this can cause many problems for other system files that have 3 as a dependency, so its not worth risking. Please update the linux drivers.

Disconnects and app crashes every 5 minutes on Kit Kat phone. I factory reset, cleared cache and ref lashed with fresh OS too, but still had the same problem. The phone is fine, and Planet works fine on it too, but easy tether does not run stable on it for some reason. This companies' customer support is very bad. Gave me nasty and not even relevant reply. So giving them stars off for their poor customer service and for not knowing their own product. Works ok on my non-kit kat phone though. It is slow and pauses often when data at the phone is plenty good, but at least it doesn't disconnect every 5 minutes. It is usable in a pinch when no other internet is available.
