Been running with Nike Run Club for 9 years! It's such a great way to build sustainable progress and set realistic goals rather than just competing times and distance with others. The guided runs are especially helpful for beginner or advanced runners to build fitness by different types of runs - interval workouts, long runs, short runs. I love Coach Bennett's philosophy of finishing every run feeling like you could run more. It's kept me consistently running 2-3 times a week for 9 years!

This app brings along several features, from ordinary tracking to training plans and (optional audio) guided runs. There is a tracking option for every kind of runner and the additional location/gps feature is very precise. I use it for nearly every run I do now.

Great for giving you a plan, commentary gets annoying. There's a 40-minute recovery run where he's interviewing the founder of headspace, and you can't shut them up without losing your run. Also, the speed and elevation tracking are artificially inflated to where they're complete nonsense. It logged 1000+ ft elevation on a run where strata recorded about 150. It tells me I'm running a full minute faster pace than Strata. Great for giving you a workout plan if you don't know where to start though.

Can't log in to app. Asks for a one time code and despite giving me the option to switch to a password to sign in, it's still making me enter the one time code. Takes several minutes to get the code. Sometimes when I go back to the app after receiving the code, it takes me back to entering my email, requiring me wait for another 1 time code. When I eventually manage to put in the one time code, it tells me I've successfully signed in. Then takes me back to the sign page to go through sign in agai

Update 7/2026 app frequently freezes after a run is complete and the run data is lost. Currently looking for an alternative app to reliably track runs. This app always asked me to log in when I don't have service, and I can't record my run. What a horrible experience and annoying

Update June 22, 2026: My app will not allow me to end my run, although it tracked correctly. I've always liked this app but the volume on my other apps to play music don't always go back to full volume after Nike distance updates stop. I miss the friends/contacts cheering when I run on the old Nike app. It doesn't integrate with how I listen to music, which is mostly YouTube because Bluetooth headphones don't work as an antenna.
