A simple App to backup and restore SMS Messages. Now with Scheduled Backups. Backup is stored in /sdcard/SMSBackupRestore folder.

Make sure to start the app after update for scheduler to start again.

Straightforward. Does not need to connect to gmail account to save the data, which I tend to be paranoid about.

Tried to backup, got I/O error. mnt/sd/backuprestore/filename does not exist... I have this folder on my sd card and 31gb unused sppace... PS: I had copied from 4gb to 32gb SDcard. I uninstalled, used Astro file manager to delete folders and reinstalled. Problem solved... But I use now sms backup for gmail.

Saved my messages! I tried a different app but that ruined the date ordering. I took the xml file from the other app, made some changes and then used it for this app and it worked a treat. :)

This app saved my day when I switched from my HTC Magic to HTC Desire, it took a few minutes to back up everything and then I was done.
