Helped restore texts that didn't transfer over after being forced to switch to google messages. I did have to clear the app cache and data after restoring but otherwise worked mostly as intended. I did have to do this process twice though. The first time had my phone off, and it got stuck on the final loading step and the second time I just kept my phone screen on the whole time and it worked

The sms Backup utility did NOT back up the entire message thread. It left out my first and last message in the thread. There should be 43 total messages in the thread, but the toll is only listing 41.

I used this to back up my texts from Samsung Messages before switching to Google Messages. I saved it in Google Drive, however when I try to access the file it goes halfway, and then I get an error code. I don't understand it. And its very frustrating.

ONLY SMS NOT RCS. This app will not allow RCS text to transfer over due to them being encrypted on both ends. Google how to back up your text to Your Google account both RCS and SMS along with all photos and videos you got and sent. Set up your new phone then if you want you can delete the backup and start fresh. Google already owns everyone's info so for me, I don't see the issue. This app will only move over SMS any RCS will not work due to its encryption end to end.
