Non-NIST support scheduled for v2.x Unlike Silent Phone, Silent Text v1.x has no option for non-NIST approved encryption algorythms (i'm told that feature will be included in version 2). Thus probably NSA-snoopable (IMHO). Fast response to public announcements of vulnerabilities. No Help function/file, but customer service is responsive via ur online account. Messages sent will be viewed by previous recipients once they go back online. These guys must be extremely busy (Blackphone, Dark Alliance Email). Let's cut them some slack.

Undependable. Sporadic Text Delivery / Receipt. Silent Text cannot qualify as a dependable secure channel for comms. After using the service on/off since launch I can reliably fill you in on just how challenging it can be. Sporadically messages are not received. Messages are not delivered. Conversations freeze. Key exchange must be reset repeatedly. The idea behind the app is great, I definelty want it to work smoothly but users have been let down so far and I cannot recommend (in its current avatar) in good faith to anyone to "Circle Up".

Does not stay online I am glad to have SIlent Text for Android, but unlike the iOS app, the app does not stay online, so people can't reliably contact me. I am not sure why, but I am wondering if push notifications broken in some way? I realize that this is an early version, but this seems like a show stopping bug.
