Permissions
We require several permissions on your Android device to operate properly. Here is the list and why we need them.

Network communication
full Internet access - your Spiceworks installation and the Spiceworks community are accessed through the internet.

Phone calls
read phone state and identity - from the people view, when making a call, we need to know if the phone is busy already.

System tools
retrieve running applications - lets us verify if a task has already been started so we have only one instance of activity at a time, and also lets us restart if we run into an unexpected issue.

I use it far less now because I don't trust it from being burned by previous version bugs. I would need to hire a personal assistant if I had to follow up with every Android "buggy app" developer. I don't think I'm alone there. QA teams are simply too small nowadays for most development shops and it shows.

Miss v2. Old interface was a breeze to manage tickets (assign, edit, close). New interface is taking some time to get used to. Also, v3 is much slower. I miss being able to pop open the app send a quick comment and close a ticket. I'm sure this will be worked out over time. Great app otherwise. Thanks Spiceworks.

Crashes when adding ticket Updating existing tickets is fine. But adding a ticket through the app causes the app to crash with a message saying unfortunately spiceworks has stopped.

No push notifications - FIXED Since the upgrade to v3, push notifications have been 90% not working, 10% working. I cant even load the push notification setting page in the app, just sits there with a little spinning circle. All issues fixed, very nice to have access to my helpdesk on my phone!

Broken Notifications Was great before. After update I get no notifications and can't access the settings page for push notifications. S3 UPDATE : notifications working, 5 stars for a great app and quick service!
