Used every day for last 6 years to cheer me up, so much, so I have the words 'the chive' screen image burned into my phone screen. Think that says it all

One of the best apps in the world. KCCO

Updating my review to a good status as the newest update that came down last night/early this morning has finally corrected the issues with the non-loading black screen. Back in action, but will further review content later.

What happend to all the Chivette categories
★☆☆☆☆Trey Willson· Feb 25, 2026
Everything that made the Chive great is now gone. What's left is just sad.
★☆☆☆☆Josh Brown· Jul 7, 2026
App used to be one of my favorite places to scroll away time. It's downright useless now. Nothing even remotely funny in the "humor" section... "hotness" section is gone... "DAR" posts have fallen off to straight up boring. Uninstalling and not going back.
★☆☆☆☆Steve Andrews· Sep 24, 2025
Have followed and supported the chive for years, sadly this is now unusable with ads auto clicking, app unstable and content just all over the place when scrolling. No idea were things have gone, you see one day gone the next. Settings cog is gone, favorites disappear. Shame really.
