We strive to build easy-to-use applications while at the same time building navigation that allows for a fuller feature set that is easy to access. Developing a rich weather experience is our top priority. We continue to optimize the app to provide the best user experience possible.

The Weather Channel for Android adds new features – updated graphics, new weather icons, high resolution video for tablets, support for large screen devices – while still encompassing the enhanced features of its original version, including fully customizable weather maps, animated radar maps, detailed weather conditions and forecasts, severe weather alerts, and a notification bar with the current temperature and severe weather alert indicator.

The current release fixes a few bugs and includes new additions:
•Support for 7" tablets
•Weather imagery that changes based on the current conditions
•New weather icons!
•High resolution video for tablets
•Severe weather alerts for the UK and Europe

The Weather Channel for Android 3.5 still includes the content and features consumers have come to expect. It still offers the "find me" function that allows consumers to get weather forecasts for their pinpointed location or search by city, ZIP code, street address or landmark. The app also includes interactive maps that are fully customizable and feature the functionality of Google Maps. Customers can decide to display layers such as radar, clouds, UV index, rainfall and more.

Told it not to give alerts, keeps giving status bar alerts. Fail.

Update: I tried this app again, after the upgrade, it's still stalling and overly-bloated. Moving to other WeatherBug and giing up on this. Too bad it had lots of promise. This app keeps going from great to annonying. Why when you click exit does it stay running? And a service? Really? When I hit exit, it should exit, no service please!

This is probably the worst weather app for Anroid, while for the iPhone, it's one of the BEST. This app is horribly slow to load, run AND update. Initially, I thought all these issues were bcuz the prgrammers and developers were plain lazy. Now, I know it's because of the bad OS (Android). There are so many apps for the Android that are also on the iPhone and none of them perform badly like on Android. Dont be surprised when Google is pushed to the side by Windows. Google WILL end up like RIM in the mobile phone OS market. Only a few loyal followers will stay with it. The difference of course btwn RIM and Android is that RIM software actually works well. Android blows. And what about these cutesy childish names? Frozen Yoghurt (FROYO), Icre Cream Sandwich? In a few months, I will stop posting comments/reviews. That's when I will be getting my iPhone 5!

I don't know which app I hate more, this or weather bug. I don't know why we can't have one weather app that's even halfway decent.

I like it when I get it to work. It takes numerous times to get to actually work, the app just closes before it shows anything. It's like it refuses to start.

Fair weather channel.doesnt work if it is stormy or windy or dark you said u would fix it This app is non compliant with the android platform . Dont waste your time chassing after the free ipad or phone for a little short survey lets see a jim cantore story about a guy lost in the woods trying to get the weather updated so as to determine wether he should walkin circles clockwise or counter clockwise

Wont Update! Ever since the last update, it wont refresh when I open the app, the wind doesn't even load and the hour by hour is like 6 hours behind. Also the radar is rediculously slow its like this for all movie devices (ipad, iPhone, android!!!) Why can't you just make the radar a smooth animation????

Annoying ads! The app works, but I have a hard time reading the forecast with the ads flashing all the time. Installing.
