If you have problems accessing the music files on your device, please perform the following steps:

Settings -> Apps -> Gear icon -> App Permissions -> Storage -> Deadbeef (switch ON)

★★★★★ I had one large FLAC file (an entire album) with no way to jump to certain songs, but then I noticed I also had .cue files, so I needed a player that supported .cue. This player does, it's exactly what I needed. 5 stars. (If anyone needs to know how to get to your sd card, just press the folder button in the bottom right, then press the folder at top with the 2 dots to go to the previous directories, until you see "sdcard". The exact path, for me, was /storage/sdcard1)

★★★★★ Is a simple player..... But, sound quality is great..... Excellent..... Good for audiophile.... Thanks and I don't like this,,,, but I very, very like this music player

★★★★★ Almost there... Just started using this player, and I'm really liking it! Only three wishes for improvement: 1) Make the playlists themselves sortable, drag & drop preferably. 2) Lock screen handling: play/pause/previous/next/in-track search bar. 3) Drag & drop within longer playlists gets difficult when going up or down 20 tracks... Maybe an option to select & drop would be easier. But besides these points I just have to congratulate the creator of this app! Amazing work!

★★☆☆☆ Linux version rocks. Android version sucks, it just doesn't detect media files on the internal storage, and I don't have a memory card.

★★☆☆☆ This was the subjectively absolutely the best music player for many years, then the developer dropped this project for a worse player, which has now been inactive for >3 years. This player can not access any files since Android's Storage Framework app-massacre (10).
