Comments on dv Prompter for Android

★★★★★ Almost Perfect I've tried several teleprompter apps and this one seems to have the most functionality as well as the fact that it's missing the quirks many of the others have. It works very well. I think it only needs a few things be a virtually perfect app: 1. The ability to swipe the text up and down while paused. 2. On-screen scroll speed control. 3. The ability to open text files directly (rather than pasting into the app) Great job! You're almost there. Thank you!

★★★★★ Works better than all of the other options that I tried DV prompter is well designed. Initially I was put off by the fact that it cannot read existing documents on my Galaxy Note 3 but using cut and paste seems to work well and may even be easier to use. I particularly like the wide variety of user settings and the stability of the product. It does run a little fast on my device, but I can manage that using additional line breaks. I would prefer to have a paid version of the product so that I can avoid the splash screen that crops up whenever a change is made to a document. Other than that, this is a truly useful product, which is a lot more than I would say for "Teleprompter Pro", which cost more and on my device, didn't even stop the screen from turning off in mid use.

★★★★★ Perfect It has everything i could think of plus it supports the bluetooth keyboard - space for start/stop and arrows to jump by a paragraph up and down

★★☆☆☆ Seriously guys, this is really bad... Not sure why this gets good reviews... You cant even import text from an external file? You cant use your phone as a remote for your tablet? Even if you bought the iPrompter kit, you would still have to LOOK AT THE PROMPTER SCREEN to be able to control the speed! Surely the prompter should be operable by the cameraman, ie who does not have a view of the prompter screen?? Rubbish!

★★☆☆☆ No option to get to the existing document. You have to type in AGAIN your text. ;-(

★★☆☆☆ Cannot import documents, only cut and paste. Editing is very limited. Scrolling controls are eccentric but work. Tends to freeze. Generally superseded.
