Great app! Yes, it took about 45 minutes to download. On my VM Intercept 99% of the download went to my SD card, my internal only went down by about 1 meg. - but the SD card ends up with a very large "Epocrates" folder (36 mb). The "free" version only give you pill info, but a lot of good info on their site once registered. I'm not rooted and was surprised this app used my SD for storage.
The app itself is great along with the fact that they now have Epocrates Essentials available, but the fact that it takes literally a day to download new content and eat up my battery in the process is completely unacceptable!!

App does not initiate in airplane mode Content is great, but execution not always speedy. Program does not go beyond epocrates loading screen when in airplane mode. On ics, galaxy nexus. Need airplane mode at times to save battery life in the hospital.

Great app Very useful as a quick reference. Uses a lot of space though, and has no option to transfer to SD card.
