Description by Devesh Parekh(from Google Play)
Grow small plants in your pocket. Build a new Pharos of Alexandria. Interrogate suspects. Find your keys. The only limit is your imagination!
This app maximizes brightness and keeps the screen on while in use (on top of the lock screen). Look elsewhere if you want colors, streamers, and wacky sounds -- this is a flashlight.
Recent changes: 3.0.1: ☹ Work around Android framework bug causing ANRs.
3.0: ★ Added Google TV support (for those of you with large plants) ★ Sits above lock screen (turn Flashlight on and off with your power button) ★ Removed support for pre-Cupcake devices (time to accept the system update) ★ Smaller and faster (faster is better) ★ More translations (if you're reading this, you don't care) ★ Tablet screenshots ★ Open source (https://github.com/devesh/Flashlight)

Perfect!!! Creates a bright screen & is exactly what I needed. I picked this one bc it was the only flashlight app that didn't require special permissions. Kudos & thanks to Dev for that!! Bonus was it even put a shortcut on my screen so I didn't have to look for it in the apps list. Clean, simple, works, & private. Really nice & appreciate. And Dev has sense of humor too. DOWNLOAD!
