Perfect. Does it's job and no more. Perfect app.

Well ... what can I say ... this does not make any sense ... but since I installed this, my EKEN M002 does connect more reliably and faster to our wlan. The initial connection it makes is not functional, but deactivating wlan and re-activating it then works rather quickly and is still WAY faster than waiting for the EKEN to connect on its own.

HOW TO USE... 1. Make sure your Wireless Network Name (SSID) is enabled on your router via the router settings page; 2. Connect to your network using your mobile; 3. Open 'HiddenSSID Enabler' and type in your network SSID, then press the "Enable hidden SSID" button. NOTE: There is no feedback from the app saying your SSID has been excepted, you will get an error message if it has not been excepted?; 4. Turn off the WiFi on your mobile; 5. Hide the router network SSID by turning it off via the router settings page and save the setting; 6. On your mobile turn the WiFi back on, your mobile should now connect to your WiFI - happy days! INFO: This litle app fixes the Android wireless network name (SSID) WiFi bug. When you hide your network SSID on your router you will get a message on your android device, your mobile phone for example, saying your WiFi is not in range. In my case I knew it was in range because previously it had been working fine. Great app, just needs more feedback and a help file. UPDATE: I installed this on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.4.3 KitKat) as the bug has still not been fixed! I didn't have to go though all the above steps. just turned the WiFi on and off and entered the SSID.

Appears to be redundant on 4.4.2 I was preparing to set up an AP with non-broadcast SSID. I added my intended new SSID and password through the WiFi settings on my Nexus 4 and 7 then set this app to download for them from the Play store using a windows machine. I then modified my AP SSID, password and visibility using the windows machine. I was quicker with the change than the app was to download - when I picked up the phone it had already connected and then the app downloaded on the non-broadcast connection. This may be because I'd been using the AP already or may not. Ahyhow I've deleted the app as it wasn't needed by me.
