Unlike other similar apps it is based on our state of the art algorithm that estimates your ability to retain knowledge over time and suggests what Kana sybmols you may need to repeat each time you start the app. It makes maintaining your knowledge effective and effortless.
Good news: The Free version of the app from now on will include full sets of Kana symbols including diacritics and digraphs!

Decent for reinforcement. Hmm. This app is a strange one. It's good and I recommend it to people who have some experience with the kana already. It's a tool for reinforcement more than it is a tool for learning new content. I say this because it lacks a bunch of necessary features such as. @ being able to choose hiragana or katakana @ tracking progress by way of a graph, chart or percentage. @some kind of automatic or manual filtration process for removing "mastered" kana @ some kind of SRS scaling the frequency.

Great I've been using this for a week now and It helped me learn the kana so fast. I suggest you learn hiragana and katakana in free mode first. Then get the full version so you dont get confused about what the accent marks do and it adds double character kana such as kyo(きょ) for example.

Old use of katakana I was surprised to see the katakana choices for "i" and "e" - I asked a native speaker, and she told that those kana hadn't been used for 50 years.
