LDS Scripture Citation Index

LDS Scripture Citation Index

This is a scripture citation index that links verses in the scriptures to talks from Church leaders that cite those scriptural verses. This is not an e-book of the scriptures; get Gospel Library to have the scriptures on your device. This is the mobile version of scriptures.byu.edu.

With this app you can see how speakers have referenced scriptures in General Conference and other LDS writings. This app lets you navigate easily between scriptures and talks. The talks come from LDS.org or from our web site, so you need an active network connection when using this app.

This app also includes a convenient table of contents for General Conference and the Journal of Discourses. The content for General Conference comes from LDS.org (for talks from 1971-present) or from our web site (for talks from 1942-1970).

We are gradually adding features found on our web site to this app. The web site currently has filtering features not found on the mobile app.

Thanks to all who have sent in suggestions on how to improve this app.

Recent changes:
Version 1.6.1 updates the citations database for the October 2013 and April 2014 conferences. The full text of the scriptures is now stored in the app, so links to scriptures will be faster. There are numerous UI improvements to this version.

Love this app! This has saved me several times. From elders quorum lessons to sacrament meeting talks, this is where I turn to prepare. Right after a prayer of course.

Great to be able to see if my thoughts on any given verse correspond to the thoughts of others, especially gen ayrhorities.

Rich research tool I remember being part of a project at BYU as a student where we helped catalog/map General Authority quotes to scripture references. Very gratifying to now see this in a convenient app. Thank you!!

Fantastic app, could still use improvement I love this app! I use it in my scripture study every night! I do wish there was a way to highlight like in the Gospel Library app. I often use this app even when teaching FHE or speaking in church, and it would be great to be able to jump to the sections of talks that I need quickly and without being slowed by searching for something I'd already found. Overall this app is an amazing resource. Thank you for putting it together!
