The third generation of a navigation application for outdoor enthusiasts - hikers, mountain bikers, trail runners, or geocachers (formerly Locus Map Pro). In full development until 2021, now in maintenance mode.

Track recording is reliable, and it shows useful statistics whilst I am walking or cycling. I usually use it with either the OpenStreetMap classic map or OpenCycleMap. I can upload my tracks to Strata and OpenStreetMap, and I can add notes to OSM. Good value for money. Adding geotagged notes (for use with editing OpenStreetMap) is more complicated than with Osmtracker. I tried Locus Maps 4, but it didn't meet my needs, so came back to 3 Classic

Been a great app - not only it offered a 'lifetime' license, map downloads - it was also possible to add maps from other sources and 3rd party themes and overlays But: it will be removed from the store and abandoned from spring 2026 pushing its customers to the new (subscription only) version So all the best for the future, I'm leaving for Cartography ...

Doesn't work properly on Android Auto at least on a Ford Everest the speed doesn't change, but it picks a random value as to speed and stays there. It also does the same thing on a wireless Android auto adaptor. Update, Obviously support doesn't know what's going on, the fact that this shows on Android auto at all means that this is an Android auto version with the failing as above

This app is an example why I will never ever buy an app in the future. EDIT: Nothing is wrong with this app, at least from my/our side. I like it since 2013 (I think), but to pay €9,99 a year for Dynamic Elevation and Map Shading which is free here is dirty business, since this app will be disconnected and probably limited to A16 🤷🏻♂️ 😉 That's why I learned my lesson... Edit2: Yes, we already heard that before 🤷🏻♂️
