MapDroyd - offline maps for the whole planet

With MapDroyd, you can explore maps for the whole world and search for addresses and places. You can see and track your current location on a scalable vector map. Other than tiled maps you can rotate your map view in any direction and also change the perspective from a flat 2D map to a 3D perspective view. You can also pick from different map styles without downloading new map data.

Having the whole world in your pocket, MapDroyd saves you money by avoiding data costs, especially when you're abroad
and need to roam. Just use a public Wifi hot spot (e.g. at the airport or at your hotel) to pre-download the desired map regions on your device's SD card and you're set.

Again, these are MapDroyd's main features:
* Offline (onboard) vector(!) map rendering and search
* Worldwide maps based on OpenStreetMap raw data
* Map downloads are free of charge
* Regular map updates (every 4 to 6 weeks)
* Form based address and Point Of Interest search
* Smart single line search
* Features a simple tracking mode
* Determines postal address at your current or explored position
* Includes a map download and update manager
* Customizable storage space

Recent changes:
- Fixed "flood" bug in map
- Now app can be installed on / moved to external storage (SD card)
- Fixed other minor bugs

F. No navigation but on top of that the maps of Sweden are useless, there is a total lack of detail. Uninstalled. HTC Desire

Don't get it! What's the idea with no navigation possible? In order to be a decent app it must be able to do other then show current location on a map. Uninstalled!

Would be nice if you could add target locations (example your hotel in an unknown city) so you could find your way around. Uninstalled.

Wow Easy and free search for example hotels nearby, by pointing at the map. Not requesting to many privacy privileges.

Does not work with Lollipop After updating to Android 5.0, my MapDroyd immediately crashes when launched. Too bad. Useless this way.

Crashes Used to be great but now useless. Seems having the latest technology is no longer a good thing. Update it for 5.0 please
