MessageCenter

*** The new Permissions are required for GMail Support!
*** NOTE: I cannot seem to get any information about the unread messages themselves - if you use the GMail option it won't show the subject line or sender, I'll try and work around that but for now you'll have to use K9. Sorry but I'm limited by the tools Google provides in their API.

Message Center is an extremely customizable Widget for displaying Notification Alerts. It supports Missed Calls, EMail (via K9), GMail (via K9), Missed Text Messages (SMS Messages), and upcoming Calendar Appointments!

Several icon themes are included, but you can also make use of any existing Application Icons as well, or even Contact Photos of who sent you that Text Message or Called You!

Choose your colors, background, and which notifications you want. You can even use Filters!

Please Contact me with any issues or suggestions you may have. If you like this widget, there is also Message Center Plus on the market which supports additional Widget Styles!

NOTE: For GMail notifications you either have to use a version of GMail prior to 2.3.5 OR use K9/Kaiten for notifications - this is explained in the Help part of the Widgets configuration. You can also email me if you have any questions on this.

To force a refresh of unread count you can double tap on the widget. Note if your phone is busy doing other options it may take a bit to register the click nothing I can do about that.

This has been tested on 2.1 - 4.0 on Acer Liquid E, Droid X, Samsung Galaxy S, Asus Transformer and other devices.

I cannot respond to comments posted below, if you have issues PLEASE send me an email or contact me on Twitter @CS_Studio.

Actively working on implementing additional suggestions, if you have more feel free to submit them!

Nice widget - using the tiny widget in conjunction with K9 and WidgetLocker (although there is a typo in the refresh text when you double tap ;))

REVISED still love it on a NOTE ll Just what I needed, a visual app to put in bold missed call rather than a little icon. Going to add a bit more since I can. My original post was in late 2011. It is now 2013 and I was heartbroken when I couldn't seem to find the app again. Found it after a little more research. I have tried about 10 missed called reminders and all of them seemed to be flawed or just didn't work right for me. Pros on this one: Missed calls show up. It's a small widget. Looks like you can hide the widget if there are no missed calls (I dwant to see the -0- calls missed myself). It is customizeable, I can make it cleat so you can see my background still but the letters are bold. Not an ugly widget. It also does a bunch of other things but I really just need it for missed calls. Good luck!

Just what I was looking for Works great. Very stable and highly configurable. Been using it for a couple of months. Update: new version more configurable font sizes than before.
