My Tracks

My Tracks

My Tracks records your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. While recording, you can view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress.
With My Tracks, you can sync and share your tracks via Google Drive. For sharing, you can share tracks with friends, see the tracks your friends have shared with you, or make tracks public and share their URLs via Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. In addition to Google Drive, you can also export your tracks to Google My Maps, Google Spreadsheets, or external storage.
My Tracks also supports Android Wear. For watches with GPS, My Tracks can perform GPS recording of tracks without a phone and sync tracks to the phone. For watches without GPS, you can see your current distance and time, and control the recording of your tracks from your wrist.

Malfunction Since the update it keeps dropping out while in use, as though it's starting again from the beginning? Have to now run another app at same time while out running to get accurate distance. 7 miles shows as 0.91 on My Tracks!!! Very very annoying.

Interrupted by notifications Worked like a charm until earlier this week. Now it tracks the elapsed time, but will stop tracking distance every time the phone receives a notification. Please fix.

Something happened in the past week. This used to be a fantastic app, never had any problems, until last week. Now it does not show the entire route walked, it seems to stagger, and is not correct; having me walking on a different street, missing entire streets and shorting the walk by up to a mile. At first thought it might be the droid turbo; however, running two other apps at the same time, it is MyTracks. The other apps were within a tenth of a mile of each other, they logged the correct route (as shown on their maps), and both apps show over a mile longer walk. I verified this via a GPS program I have that you can make a route. So, it WAS a great app, however, something happened along the way. Possibly it had an update that screwed it up; not sure. My phone pretty much updates all approved applications automatically. Hope they fix it, but not sure I will know, since I will be deleting app in the next five minutes.
