LEDs Hack (ROOT ONLY)

LEDs Hack (ROOT ONLY)

**ROOTED PHONES ONLY **

This app will let you disable the trackball, top & bottom LEDs. This will help if you use your phone as a night clock.

* Flickering/notification issues? Read intro! *

Supported devices (depends on the ROM you are using as well):

- Motorola Droid/Milestone
- Motorola Droid X
- HTC Droid Incredible
- HTC MyTouch Slide (Espresso)
- HTC MyTouch 4G (Glacier)
- HTC Nexus One
- HTC Desire
- HTC EVO
- HTC Hero (Sprint)
- T-Mobile G2 (Vision)
- Desire HD
- HTC EVO Shift
- LG Shine Plus
- Samsung Vibrant
- Motorola Droid 2.

*ALERT: The Samsung Nexus S will NEVER be supported. Not because I don't want to, but because it is not possible, I own one and I have tried and tried. Samsung (or Google) have decided that the bottom LEDs will always be on as long as the display is on, powered at the same time. Obviously breaking a few APIs as well as the ability to turn those LEDs off based on the light-sensor.*

User reviews of LEDs Hack (ROOT ONLY)
This is the first app I installed after rooting. Now I can finally read ebooks on my Incredible without having my retinas burned out by the always-on button LEDS. Thank you. Fantastic work!

Installed, chose the options I wanted (bottom & trackball LEDs off), tapped the "LEDs Off" button & the keypad/trackball went dark! Perfect! HTC Hero on CM6.

Just what I was looking for to disable the LEDs on my N1's buttons when reading ebooks with Aldiko.

I like it for being able to turn the LEDs off, but once I used it the display on my Milestone in the home dock wouldn't auto-dim anymore, so it kinda defeated the main purpose entirely. Uninstalled.

Fantastic. I've been using this as long as I've had Android. Great for night reading while charging.
